Intriguing Reptiles, LLC is owned and operated by Justin Ferlich (…that’s me) and is also maintained and made possible with help from my family and friends. Intriguing Reptiles, LLC is located in Washington, PA...which is about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. We specialize in the captive reproduction of Ball Python, Blood Python and Venomous snake morphs...but we also work with quite a few other reptiles as well. We are not currently open to the public on a daily basis, but we are open to anyone that wants to stop by and pick-up a reptile in person. (...as long as arrangements are made in advance.)
Business Hours: M-F 11am-5pm, Sat 12pm-2pm, Sun-Closed.
We have been keeping and breeding reptiles (..and other animals) for a little over 8 years now. We don't mass produce reptiles by the thousands, but we do produce limited quantities of top notch reptiles for the discriminating reptile hobbiest/keeper/breeder. We take great pride in producing only high quality animals and will never sell anything less!
How it started...
Like so many other reptile breeders, my passion for reptiles started when Victoria (my ex-girlfriend) and I found a baby 6” Eastern Garter snake. I was instantly intrigued by this little Garter snake and decided to keep it as a pet. Shorty after that, I stumbled upon the Kingsnake website while doing some research on the Garter snake. I couldn't believe how many different types of snakes there were and just had to buy one.
I purchased my first snake about a week later. It was a Leucistic Texas Rat snake. After that, the addiction only got worse as the collection started to multiply in size on a weekly basis. It eventually grew to the point where I had so many cages in my room that I could no longer fit anymore and was forced to start using dedicated reptile rooms to house the reptiles in. The rest of the story is pretty much as you would guess…the reptile keeping has not slowed down any since then and the collection still continues to grow on a weekly basis. I love working with these amazing creatures (especially the Blood Pythons) and have no plans of stopping anytime soon. Future plans include building a 3,500+ sq/ft facility.
As of now, everything is pretty much a one man operation, but I think that's going to have to change sometime soon and maybe I'll end up taking on a hired hand at some point. For now, I am responsible for pretty much everything...from the programming/web design, to email responses, ad listings & picture taking, keeping/breeding the reptiles, shipping, customer support, etc…so I am always very busy with something to do. I also do a lot of selling on eBay which takes up a bunch of my time as well.
I take pride in getting to know all my customers on a personal/friend basis, so I will usually attempt to talk to each individual on the phone before any reptiles are shipped out. I do miss phone calls at times due to my hectic schedule, but I always return them as soon as possible, so please be sure to leave a message if I ever miss one of your calls. Emails are almost always answered within an hour or so (…during business hours.).

As you already know, my name is Justin. I am currently 28 yrs old and have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Management & Specialized Business. Some of my other hobbies include Street bikes, American Muscle/Sports Cars, Drag Racing, Skydiving, Dirtbikes/Quads, American Bulldogs, Collector coins/bullion/gems/precious metals, Snowboarding, Skateboarding, shopping online (LOL), Martial Arts, NRA, Guns & Ammo. I'm sure I missed a few things, but that's the majority of stuff that interests me. Of course, I never have much time to enjoy any of those things, but they are things I like to think about...while I am cleaning dirty snake cages all day long, LOL.
